Shape was founded by Phil and Josh, who met at Newcastle University. They are both hands-on solution architects with Computer Science and HCI Masters degrees. They are two friends who wanted to build a business based in the North East, tapping into the regional talent and contributing to the tech community, while working with clients worldwide.
We have worked with Newcastle and Northumbria University for over 5 years to provide internships, work experience, placements and guest lectures, aiming to give back and support future talent.
In 2026, we partnered with another local tech business, TAC, to launch AGENTSdotNE, a community for people in the North East of England to experiment with and learn how to use AI.
